Interactive Programming and Informational Exhibits

Inside the Visitor's Center, we have books, diagrams, and exhibits that give information about the local flora and fauna that can be found around the park and surrounding habitats. Once you step inside, you can find a touch table, a taxidermy beaver and squirrel, and display samples of our white lily and lotus pods. The Junior Ranger Program and activities are also available upon request.

Quiet Spaces

To the rear of the Visitor’s Center, past the Junior Ranger Station and our exhibits, we have a designated meeting and information room called the Helen S. Fowler Room. It has a door, air conditioning, a table, seating, and can be used as a quiet space. The lights can be turned on or off if necessary. There are also several benches and picnic tables along the trails to rest and use as a quiet space.
