Scouting Programs at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center

While visiting the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice, scout groups can fulfil the requirements for earning badges by participating in hands-on activities and interpretive programs.

  • Brownies - Acadian Culture Try-it Badge - Gain insight into the multitude of traditions of Louisiana's Acadian people through interpretive programs and hands-on activities.
  • Junior Girl Scouts - Acadian Heritage Badge - Have fun learning about Acadian folklife via hands-on participation in different facets of Acadian culture.
  • Daisies - Respect Authority Petal - Learn how various workers contribute to your life and the prairie Acadian community through hands-on activities and interaction with guest speakers.

Special Girl Scout program days for 2012 are scheduled for

  • Daisies - Saturday, February 4, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
  • Brownies - Saturday, March 24, noon-4:00 p.m.
  • Junior Girl Scouts - Saturday, March 31, 10:00 a.m.-4:15 p.m.
