Song stuck in my head

July 26, 2012 Posted by: Katelynn

"I have died everyday waiting for you

Darling don't be afraid, I have loved you

for a Thousand Years

I'll love you for a thousand more"

Lyrics to Thousand Years by Christina Perri

This song has been stuck in my head for 3 days and I don't even know all the lyrics.  What am I to do to get it out of my brain?  I guess singing it repeatedly hasn't helped.

Maybe you should listen to some other songs and hum along with them. I wonder, though, if you associate the song with some event that you are thinking about.

Your song sounds sad. I would like to cheer you up. Look for a happy song, one that makes you feel like dancing. Put a smile on your face and you will be surprised at how many smile back at you. SMILE, SOMETHING TO SHARE THAT DOESN'T COST ANYTHING. Have a wonderful rest of your summer and keep writing.

Katelynn, it sounds like you are a person who will be able to memorize poems and quotes. I was at an exercise class last week, and the leader ended with a quote by Maya Angelo. Which goes to show that having words "stuck in your head" could be very useful, in a variety of situations...
