Cool breezes
Did You Know?
In the summer of 1793 “ten thousand people in the streets of Philadelphia … threatened to drag Washington out of his house, and effect a Revolution in Government” but an outbreak of yellow fever dispersed the mob and saved the national government. (J Adams to T Jefferson, June 30, 1813)
I enjoyed yesterday too. I love the feel of a breeze on my face and arm. Such a simple yet rare event for me. It is a long time since I experienced a pleasant breeze. Maybe I am not spending enough time outside? Your thoughts have prompted me to make a date with a breeze in the near future!
I wonder what a long breeze is? It sounds very lovely. Have you ever heard the old-fashioned phrase, when death was refered to as the "long home?" I long for a long breeze.
Today was beautiful. Remember we need the horrible days of heat to appreciate a day like today. If every day was like today than today would not be special. I enjoyed you writing piece.
Zarek, I agree wholeheartedly. It was truly one of the most beautiful days this summer. I'm glad we got to sit outside for journal time.
I agree with you Zarek; today was beautiful in the Park due to the (slightly) cooler temperature and the breeze. I know I was much happier today!
