Today, whilst waiting for class, I sat outside eating a peaches and cream muffin from Starbucks. As I ate, I noticed several sparrows looking at me. So, I ripped a small piece off and rolled it towards them. Instantly, they dove for it and caught the attention of more birds. I felt bad for one sparrow who didn't any, and nudged another crumb in his direction. Of course, other birds made a mad dash to get it. Let's just say I spent my morning giving birds a 4th of my muffin.
Now, as I write this outside, I also write "Hi" on some tree bark that has fallen to the ground.
You painted a wonderful picture with your words. In my mind I can see the birds and watch you feed them. This was fun to read.
How touching. I was wondering what you were writing. My mother was very good with animals, especially birds.
I have many sparrows in my back yard and they always lose to the bigger birds. Glad to hear you shared your muffin with them, especially with the one that was pushed aside. That shows a good heart!
