    Changes have been made to the Superintendent's Compendium regarding the prohibition of unmanned aircraft at Horseshoe Bend National Military Park in Section 1.5 of the Compendium. More »

Schedule of Events 2014

June 28th - The Horseshoe Bend volunteers will be at Wind Creek State Park on Lake Martin providing cannon firing demonstrations, wool spinning and dyeing demonstrations and a military encampment.

July 26th - The Horseshoe Bend Tennessee Militia will be drilling and providing musket demonstrations at the park from 10AM-2PM behind the visitor center.

August 9th - Horseshoe Bend NMP in partnership with Ft Toulouse/Jackson Historical Site will have a symposium on the Bicentennial of the Treaty of Ft Jackson. This event will be held at the Alabama Department of Archives and History in Montgomery, AL beginning at 9 Am. This event is free and open to the public.

August 16th - The Muster on the Tallapoosa event will be held at Horseshoe Bend National Military Park to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the creation of the park. The event will be from 9 AM until 4 PM with both scheduled and on going demonstrations. A detailed schedule for this event will be posted in the near future. This event is free and open to the public.

November 5th-9th - The Horseshoe Bend NMP volunteer living history group will be at Frontier Days at Ft Toulouse/Jackson Park in Wetumpka, AL. More information about this event can be found on their website.
