Highway 49 leading to the park is narrow and winding with no shoulders. Cyclists traveling to the park should use extreme caution, wear helmets, and use mirrors.

Did You Know?
Horseshoe Bend National Military Park is one of the four dedicated ‘War of 1812’ parks in the NPS system. The others are Fort McHenry National Monument in Baltimore, Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial in Ohio, and Chalmette National Battlefield in New Orleans.
