Exploded View

Meeks Store is comprised of 308 “primitive” objects—cubes, spheres, cylinders, pyramids, cones, and spheres—that are the basic building blocks of 3D modeling. Cubes, transformed into a variety of shapes and sizes, are the most common primitive objects used for constructing Meeks Store. Chris used a technique called Boolean rendering to make more complex shapes from two or more overlapping primitive objects. By assigning objects either positive or negative values, they add or subtract their shapes from one another when rendered as an image.
