How do I get information about AV systems design or recommendations
for equipment?
Harpers Ferry Center offers AV systems design assistance to help
parks define a project, plan and prepare types of contracts needed,
identify problem areas or discrepancies, develop solutions, create
scopes of work, prepare system designs and specifications, and complete
government estimates of costs. This could be an audiovisual system
for an individual exhibit, an exhibit with multiple AV systems,
theaters, amphitheaters and multipurpose rooms. Design development
includes conceptual, preliminary through final publication of plans
and specifications, and bid package completion. Harpers Ferry Center
can continue as COTR for the acquisition and installation of AV
equipment. The designers can also assist by reviewing designs prepared
by the park’s architect or contractor and provide the support
needed for the park to receive a system suited to their needs. Troubleshooting
for existing systems and equipment failures and subsequent restoration
is available via telephone and /or email.
