Campsites

Pinyon Flats Campground (National Park Service) (719) 378-6399  Group reservations online for Loop 2 and Group Sites during warmer months. Loop 1 is first-come, first served.

Medano Pass Primitive Road Campsites (high clearance 4WD only)

Oasis Campground  Just outside park entrance. (719) 378-2222. Accomodates RVs or tents.  Showers, restaurant, store.  Generally open April-October.

San Luis Lakes State Park 11 miles west of park entrance on County Lane 6. (campground only): (719) 378-2020; 1-800-678-2267 for camping reservations.

Zapata Falls Campground -Primitive campground contains 25 first-come, first-served campsites. No hookups or potable water. Located at Zapata Falls Recreation Area. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) office in Monte Vista: 719-852-5941.

Lodging

Great Sand Dunes Lodge (modern motel lodging located just outside the park entrance on highway 150) (719) 378-2900. Open generally April-October.
