Join a National Park Ranger or an NPS Volunteer-in-Park for this 45-60 minute walking experience to discover how the role of Governors Island evolved to meet the changing needs of New York City and the nation.

Details:

National Park Rangers present a thematic living history experience where children of all ages, with their chaperons, are invited to learn about the historic role of the people of Governors Island. Children will meet with an array of "guests" from the past such as soldiers, from the Civil War, Confederate Prisoners or civilians. Reservations are not required.
