Seasonal Closure Announcement

Governors Island National Monument is closed for the season.

  • We will re-open in June, 2008.
  • Tours cannot be accommodated until then.
  • Information on next season's program offerings and ferry schedules will be posted in April, 2008.

We look forward to seeing you then.

National Park Ranger programs tours are offered throughout the day, at :25 minutes after the hour, shortly after the arrival of each ferry. Times of tours and programs are posted at the island’s Visitor Contact Station. Tours are offered on a first come, first served basis. Tours and programs and generally last 45 minutes. No reservations accepted. The island closes for the 2006 summer season on September 2.

Our open season, ferry access points, schedules and ticket prices are subject to change and will be announced in May.  Check back here for the latest information.  We look forward to seeing you.
