  • Potomac River Beach and Washington Family Burial Ground Closed

    The road leading to the Potomac River Beach and Washington Family Burial Ground is closed completely as are those two sites because of tree removal following the storms that hit the park last Thursday. Thank you for your understanding.

Things To Do

Visitor Center includes exhibits, film, bookstore, and restrooms.

Ranger talks offered on the hour 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Living Colonial Farm features heritage livestock and tobacco.

Special events offer costumed interpreters and demonstrations.

Washington Family Burial Ground.

Picnic area with tables, grills, pavilion and restrooms.

One mile loop Nature Trail accessed at the picnic area.

The Potomac River beach offers view of the river and Maryland, walking, sunbathing, and fishing.

Pets:
Pets are not allowed in the Historic Area. In all other parts of the park please remember to keep your pets on leashes at ALL times while hiking, walking or jogging . We hope you enjoy visiting YOUR National Park!
