Trail Closure, May 14-17, 2013
The walking trail from Sykes Avenue to the 20th Maine Monument and old Chamberlain Avenue is temporarily closed for repairs and paving. We anticipate it will reopen on Saturday, May 18.

Towers Closed For Inspection
Observation towers in the park will be temporarily closed for inspections on Thursday, May 16. The closures are: Oak Ridge Tower 8 AM-10 AM; Longstreet Tower 10 AM-12 PM; Culp's Hill Tower 12 PM-2 PM
Bookstore
The Museum Bookstore (NPS) The Museum Bookstore, located in the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center, is your first stop for books, DVD's, audio battlefield tours, postcards and other items that will make your visit to Gettysburg a memory to last. The store also offers a variety of books on President and Mrs. Eisenhower and other areas of interest in the Gettysburg area. The Museum Bookstore is open during regular visitor center hours and operated in partnership with the Gettysburg Foundation by Event Network, Inc. Did You Know?
John Burns, a 72 year old veteran of the War of 1812 and resident of Gettysburg, fought side by side with Union soldiers on the first day of the battle of Gettysburg. His service is commemorated by a battlefield statue at Gettysburg National Military Park.
