Fort Stanwix National Monument is accessible by bicycle by way of the trails along the Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor. Fort Stanwix sits a mile from the original canal site, at the center of New York, and welcomes all travelers.

Did You Know?
Fort Stanwix National Monument was one of the first historic areas to be added to the National Park Service under the Historic Sites Act. This was the same day the act was passeded by the 74th U.S. Congress, August 21, 1935.
