This spring, be the early bird that catches the earth worm and join the Junior Master Gardeners Program onSunday, March 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Fort Stanwix National Monument's Willett Center. The Junior Master Gardeners Program engages children in novel, hands-on learning experiences that instill a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind. The Junior Master Gardener Program also inspires youth to serve others through service learning and leadership development projects. Start growing! The Junior Master Gardeners meet on Sundays once a month from March through August. The next Junior Master Gardener meeting will be held on April 15, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Fort Stanwix National Monument's Willett Center. This program will give you the knowledge to start your own garden - just in time to celebrate National Earth Day, April 22nd.
