Fort Larned National Historic Site
Accessibility

The Visitor Center and Barracks buildings are wheelchair accessible, including paved paths to and between the buildings.  Handicap parking is available near the Visitor Center.

The remainder of the buildings and trails at Fort Larned are not easily accessible by wheelchair.  The other buildings at the fort have doorways or steps that are not wheelchair accessible.  The other paths throughout the site are unpaved.

Fort Larned NHS is currently working to improve accessibility throughout the site.  Recent improvements include the installation of an automatic door for the visitor center.  Future improvements will include paved paths around the fort quadrangle and a wheelchair-accessible walkway into the north company officers' quarters.
