Getting Around
Begin your visit to the park with a stop at the information desk located in the Visitor Center. The staff will collect entrance fees and provide an orientation to the site's attractions and facilities. The main historic points of interest may be reached via gravel walkways.

Did You Know?
Lieutenant Colonel Washington Seawell, with six companies of the 8th Infantry, built Fort Davis in 1854. Seawell commanded the post until July of 1860.
