FEE FREE WEEKENDS

Fort Davis National Historic Site along with the rest of the National Park Service will waive entrance fees during 3 weekends of this summer to help with the tough economic times. The designated dates are: June 20-21, July 18-19, and August 15-16, 2009. These weekends will be in addition to the National Public Lands Day, September 26 and Veterans Day, November 11, which have historically been free days. The reason for the free weekends is to reinforce that national parks are places for everyone to have fun, reconnect with nature and history, and build a sense of ownership and stewardship toward parks and the environment.
