The Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service work with other federal agencies, state and local governments, organizations, tribes, and private individuals as partners to administer the national historic trail.

El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro Trail Association is the primary nonfederal partner with the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management in planning and administration of El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro National Historic Trail. The association is a national organization dedicated to preserving the trail and telling its stories.
