Curriculum Materials

Eisenhower and Little Rock: A Civil Rights Lesson

In 1957, Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus prevented nine African American students from entering Little Rock High School. In response, President Eisenhower called in the 101st Airborne and federalized the Arkansas National Guard to enforce the integration of the school.
