Celebrate Adopt A Crag a National Public Lands Day Event at Devils Tower National Monument

Devils Tower, WY –Climbers and community members will join rangers on Thursday, September 10 to celebrate Adopt–A-Crag as a National Public Lands Day event at Devils Tower. Participants will give back to the resource with a day of trail maintenance and cleanup. Volunteers plan to clean and clear trails and pull exotic weeds. Meet at the climbing registration office at 8:00 am for a briefing for the event.Tools for the cleanup will be provided. Trail maintenance and cleanup will begin at 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Enjoy a free barbeque and gear giveaway for event participants from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

In celebration of the 22ndNational Public Lands Day, entrance fees will be waived at Devils Tower and over 400 National Park Service Sites on Saturday, September 26.Thousands of volunteers gather at national parks and forests, reservoirs and other public areas to improve and enhance the resources of those special places where Americans go to enjoy the outdoors on National Public Lands Day. Volunteers work with public land managers on needed projects that might not have been accomplished without this event.

The Adopt-A-Crag event at Devils Tower includes partnerships with the Devils Tower Natural History Association, the Access Fund and the Sundance Climbing Festival.
