Last week, the contractor removed the gravel pile from the Ghiglione Bridge pullout and began developing the staging area at Bear Cave (Mile 44.8). Survey work at the Pretty Rocks site has begun and earthworks on the east side of the slide is scheduled to begin tomorrow, August 1.
With more equipment out on the road, there is new, temporary signage around the entrance of the gravel pit near Mile 5 of the road.
