John Paul Schmit received a B.A. (1990)
in Biology from Grinnell College, an S.M. degree (1996 ) and
a Ph. D. (1999) in Evolutionary Biology from the University
of Chicago. John Paul is the Quantitative Ecologist for the
Inventory and Monitoring Program. He assists with the development
and analysis of data for the monitoring plan for the parks
in the National Capital Region. His research interests have
focused on biodiveristy and competition of fungi.
