Giselle Mora received a B.S. (1982) degree in Biology from the Universidad de Costa Rica and both a M.S. (1987) and Ph.D. (1991) degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville. Giselle provides education leadership for the Urban Ecology Research Learning Alliance (UERLA) by maintaining a network of partnerships that promote research and education opportunities. Her work increases the preservation, understanding, and awareness of ecosystems within the mid-Atlantic.
