Secchi Disk

The first "secchi disk" type measurement was done in 1896 and recorded a depth of 30 meters. A few sporadic readings occurred in 1913, 1937-39, 1954, 1960, 1968-69, but regular annual measurements began in 1978 and continue to the present.
