Visitors can enjoy films, exhibits, archaeology displays, walking the grounds and nature trail, picnicking, photography, Junior Ranger programs and guided programs. Check the calendar for upcoming special events!

Guided Programs

"Pop-up" guided programs are available as requested when visiting the park. Visitors should expect programs to last up to 1 hour with a maximum walking distance of a 1/2 mile. Topics may include Charles Pinckney's life and political work, plantation life and operations, the Gullah-Geechee culture, slavery in the Southeast, the history of Mount Pleasant, and greater Charleston-area history.

Programs are subject to alteration or cancellation due to inclement weather or staff availability. Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended for all visitors. There is a water filling station available on site.
