Formed in 2005, the Channel Islands Park Foundation is the primary non-profit, philanthropic partner of the Channel Islands National Park. Recognizing the challenges of managing the complex island ecosystems and richly diverse cultural resources, the Foundation is committed to advocating on behalf of and in support of the ongoing work of the Channel Islands National Park. In co-operation with the National Park, the Foundation funds restoration and education efforts to ensure continued protection of the islands' natural and cultural resources. The Friends of the Island Fox is a program of the Channel Islands Park Foundation. Friends of the Island Fox provides presentations to schools and community groups in order to create public awareness about the endangered island fox and to raise funds to support island fox related education, research, and conservation efforts.
