Cape Cod National Seashore (CCNS) Superintendent George E. Price, Jr. and his staff have selected an alternative from those presented in the Provincetown Municipal Airport Capital Improvements Plan Environmental Assessment. The National Park Service (NPS) Regional Director concurred on April 9, 2014 with the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Selected Alternative.
Superintendent Price said, "We know that the Airport Commission will be pleased to have the NPS concurrence so they can finish this phase of master planning, and proceed with permitting and design for upgrades to the airport facilities."
The selections were made after public and interagency review and comment, careful consideration of environmental effects, legislative mandates, applicable regulations, and NPS policy. Copies of the FONSIs are available at: http://parkplanning.nps.gov/.
