Summer Hours Begin Wednesday, May 15th!

New hours for the visitor center are from 9:00 - 5:00 daily. Summer hours run from May 15th through September 30th. Trails are open from dawn until dusk.

 

Spring Weather

Visitors are encouraged to call ahead, check the website, or check our social media pages before driving to the park on snowy days. If we receive a lot of snow, the visitor center may have a delayed open or be closed for safety. Spring storms can be quick and nasty.

When open, our maintenance staff does a fabulous job of plowing the parking lots and roads within the park. Visitors should drive slow on the roads and walk with caution along the cement paths.

Wearing a face mask is optional, regardless of vaccination status.

As the National Park Service monitors and responds to the COVID-19 pandemic, we work closely with the NPS Office of Public Health to use the latest science to guide our decision making. Access to Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is open and masks are optional.
