Eisenhower Home Tours and Ranger Programs are offered on select dates. A full schedule can be found below for the Spring and Summer 2024 season.

Eisenhower National Historic Site grounds are open daily, sunrise to sunset. Visitors may drive directly to Eisenhower NHS (use 250 Eisenhower Farm Rd for GPS) and follow signs for on-site parking. RVs, trailers, and buses are not allowed on-site without prior approval.

Group Tours

Groups of ten or more must book separate tours for the Eisenhower home. For more information on how to arrange a group tour, visit us here.

Education and Scout Groups

Eisenhower NHS offers a variety of free education programs, which can be viewed on our education webpage here. School groups, youth groups, and scout groups should contact us here about programs and tour availability. Inquiries should include preferred dates, contact information for a group leader who will be with the group on the day of the visit, and an overall number of those in the group.

 

80th Anniversary of D-Day: June 6-9

Commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Europe with special ranger programs and living history at Eisenhower NHS. The keynote event of this commemoration is a naturalization ceremony at Eisenhower NHS on June 6 at 10 am. For more information, visit us here.

Home Tours

Eisenhower NHS will offer free tours of the Eisenhower home on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm.

  • Home tours are first come, first served. Due to limited space, they are limited to 40 visitors per tour.
  • Visitors are advised to be on-site at least 15 minutes prior to the home tour they would like to attend.
  • Visitors should check-in at our visitor contact station on-site and reserve a spot before their home tour program.
  • Groups of 10 or more should follow the steps above and contact the park about reserve times to tour the home.

Summer Reading Adventures: Imagining Our Future

This summer, we will be "imagining our future" during our six-week Summer Reading Adventure series! Children ages 2-7 and their families are invited to join us for story time, and a hands-on learning activity on Tuesday mornings (dates listed below). These forty-five-minute-long programs will explore problem solving, and ideas and inventions from Eisenhower's time that shaped the world we live in today.

Summer Reading Adventures will take place at the Eisenhower Teahouse at 10 am on the following dates: June 11, June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16, July 23.

Ranger Guided Walking Tours of Eisenhower Farm

Wednesdays at 10 am. Join a park ranger for this free guided walking tour exploring the grounds of the farm that Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower loved. Visit the Eisenhower Show Barn, learn about Ike the farmer, and see how he connected with this peaceful landscape. This one-hour long program will meet in our gravel visitor parking lot.

Show Barn Saturdays

Saturdays, June 15 through August 3, 10 am through 3 pm.
Discover General Eisenhower's passion for agriculture and his Gettysburg farm by visiting the historic Eisenhower Show Barn. Park staff and volunteers will be on hand during these open house hours of this historic structure to help visitors discover how Eisenhower used this important structure at his Gettysburg farm.

100 Nights of Taps

Join a park ranger from Eisenhower National Historic Site as we partner with Gettysburg National Military Park and the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania for the annual 100 Nights of Taps Gettysburg 2024 program. On Thursday nights at 7 pm in Gettysburg National Cemetery, Eisenhower NHS staff will present stories of fallen service members buried in Gettysburg National Cemetery as part of this special program. While Eisenhower NHS staff will present on Thursdays, the 100 Nights of Taps programs run nightly from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Meet at the Soldiers National Monument in Gettysburg National Cemetery.
