Artist Statement:
As a painter, I explore literary themes of magical realism, nostalgia and ritual, and have found inspiration through the scenic landscapes of the American West and South America. I am drawn to dramatic perspectives and unique atmospheres, and hope to keep discovering the liminal nature of the West. My work is a process in which everything comes together in the hope of creating dialogue and awareness of the beauty and importance of the natural world.

Zion is a natural sanctuary, a place for exploration and culture. This residency underlines the meaning of my painting career. It contributes to my development as a caretaker of the earth.
