At approximately 6:35pm, on June 17, 2016 Zion Dispatch received a call reporting an injury at a swimming hole in Pine Creek Canyon. A 46 year old male, heavily intoxicated, had jumped from a cliff into a swimming hole, injured his knee and was unable to move.

A litter tram of 8 was assembled while the location of the patient was confirmed (there are several swimming holes in Pine Creek Canyon). After there was a better idea of the location a litter team of 8 began hiking to the patient at 7:30pm.
