Merced River Plan ~ public meetings
Winter / Spring 2013: Merced River Draft Plan and EIS Workshops
A variety of Merced River Draft Plan public webinars and workshops were held during the park's early 2013 public comment period, which ended April 30, 2013. During this time, Yosemite hosted several informational webinars to brief the public on the plan's key elements prior to the start of the public meetings in February 2013. As part of the meeting schedule, a socioeconomic workshop considered the social, financial, and economic impacts of project alternatives within the draft plan.
WEBINARS: In order to communicate the essence of the Merced River Draft Plan, Yosemite has presented four webinars each geared to a specific plan topic. These briefings included a 30-minute presentation followed by interactive question-and-answer sessions. Recorded webinars have been uploaded online. Before viewing a webinar, you'll need to download a free JAVA application update made available in early 2013.
Although Merced River Draft Plan public meetings have been completed, it's possible to view the slides presented at each meeting below. Yosemite's staff thanks you for your continued active engagement and input on the plan. The NPS is committed to a collaborative, interdisciplinary planning approach, rooted in public comment.
