What Happens Next?

The park is preparing an environmental assessment and conducting National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) reviews concurrently. Following public scoping, the park will design alternatives and analyze environmental impacts.

The public review and comment period for the environmental assessment is planned for spring 2018. The final decision document is scheduled to be released late summer 2018.
