International Archaeology Day

Archeologist at Wupatki
Have you ever wanted to learn how to use photography to map ancient structures or identify cultures using pottery and other artifacts?

This October, archeologists from the Flagstaff Area National Monuments will join over 100 acheological organizations from around the world to celebrate International Archaeology Day. Family friendly events will be held at the 100 room Wupatki Pueblo.

On Saturday, October 18th, from 12:00 to 4:00 pm you can work directly with National Park Service archeologists and learn how to use the tools of the trade at an authentic 900 year old pueblo site. No reservations are necessary, and there is no additional fee for the activities. Call 928-679-2365 for more information.
