Copper Center, AK – The Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Subsistence Resource Commission will meet at the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve Visitor Center in Copper Center (Mile 106.8 Richardson Highway) on Tuesday, March 20, and Wednesday, March 21, 2018, to consider a range of issues related to subsistence hunting and fishing in the park.
Commission business will include an opportunity to develop proposals to change federal subsistence fisheries regulations and a discussion of in-season management of the federal subsistence fishery in the Chitina Subdistrict of the Upper Copper River. The meeting is open to the public, and public testimony opportunities are provided. Members of the public are encouraged to attend. Written comments may also be submitted through the park subsistence coordinator by Friday, March 16, for presentation at the meeting.
The meeting will begin at 9 AM each day. On March 20, the meeting will recess for the day at approximately 5 PM, and on March 21, it will adjourn when business is completed. If the SRC completes its business on March 20, no meeting will take place on March 21.
