Wildfires There are no wildfires in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area.
Prescribed Fires There are no prescribed fires at this time.
Fuels Projects Fire Management staff along with Cal Fire Inmate Crews and the California Conservation Corps are working on several roadside shaded fuelbreaks in the park. These areas include Mill Creek Road, Whiskey Creek Road and Paige Boulder Road. Crews are cutting, chipping and piling brush to be burned during the fall and winter.
Fire Restrictions
Open fires are only allowed in fire grates, located in designated campgrounds and picnic areas.
Charcoal and Propane BBQ's are allowed in campgrounds, picnic areas and along the lakeshore.
Please remember to keep fires small and put them out upon leaving.
