International Falls, MN:Winter seems like a quiet time in Voyageurs National Park, but animal tracks in the snow tell a different story. Join Park Ranger Lisa Maass at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center on Sunday, February 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM to unlock the mystery of who is running, walking, and hopping around the park in winter. Visitors will learn hands-on tracking skills indoors, and then embark on a snowshoe hike to search for animal tracks along the Rainy Lake Recreation Trail. Snowshoes are provided, although participants are welcome to bring their own. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Free. This event is part of the park’s 2018 Winter at Voyageurs Event Series.
The “Winter at Voyageurs Event Series” is sponsored by Voyageurs National Park Association (VNPA).
