Construction on Highway 92 through the park has begun, with traffic currently being restricted to one lane. Expect delays. Each end of the construction area has a stoplight; traffic right-of-way alternates each way, eastbound and westbound, every 4 minutes. To increase safety for drivers and construction workers alike, please be patient and courteous. Remember: bicyclists need to follow traffic laws, including stoplights, for the safety of all concerned.
Heavy construction equipment clears rubble from the old visitor center area.
Demolition of the old visitor center site should be completed within the week. There will be an increase in large truck traffic as debris is hauled from the area. We remind people to stay out of the construction zone, and exercise caution when driving the highway. The one-way stop light will continue (4 minutes for east bound/4 minutes for westbound), as construction is moving forward in rerouting UT-92 through the park.
