Horseback Riding in Rock Creek Park

For the horseback rider, 13 miles of dirt and gravel bridle paths crisscross the park. Horseback riding lessons and guided trail rides are available at the Rock Creek Park Horse Center.
The center offers riding lessons, trail rides, pony rides, summer camps, therapeutic riding, and horse-boarding and has access to bridle trails. There are 13 miles of dirt bridle trails for equestrians to use.

The Rock Creek Park Horse Center is located between the Rock Creek Park Nature Center and the Rock Creek Park Maintenance Yard. The facility has a large stable, an indoor barn and several outdoor riding rings that can be used for lessons and turning the horses out. The stables and barns are off limits to the public.
