The National Park Service is seeking applicants for a offering a professional development opportunity for K-12 teachers in the Washington, DC area through the Teacher Ranger Teacher program. Participants in the program will complete a major education project equal to approximately 160 hours of effort, develop at least one lesson plan based on NPS resources, spend time with NPS staff learning about resources and programs in the National Park Service, and complete 45 hours of coursework in an online graduate course with the University of Colorado Denver. Successful participants will receive three graduate credit hours in Experiential Learning from the University of Colorado Denver and a living and travel expense stipend. Deadline for applications is April 30, 2014.
