Formerly known as "Wandering the Watershed," this multi-session curriculum arc is designed to suit the needs of the changing classroom. Hybrid and virtual options are available.

Students will use the Lakeshore as a placed-based example of watershed dynamics. Then they will use FREE lesson plans and their creativity to design a machine to help rangers clean microplastics off of Sleeping Bear Dunes' beaches.

Depending on the menu, students will either return in the spring to present their design or chat with a ranger virtually.

There are different “menus” to choose from. The menus vary from a two-visit experience to fully virtual, with several hybrid options between. We’ll even come to your school if it’s within 50 miles of the Lakeshore!
