Step back in time to learn about actual events that took place on the property over 100 years ago. Living history reenactors tell the story of ranch life with first-person vignettes as they perform chores, cook, and depict family life on a typical winter night. Kerosene lanterns light the path. Tours are every 15 minutes and run from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations begin October 1st and are required for this free program. Call us at 620-273-8494 (hit 0).
Walking surfaces are gravel and grass paths, with many steps into and out of the historic buildings. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your tour time and check in at the visitor center. Be sure to dress for cold weather and wear good walking shoes. Please no flash photography. Flashlights are welcome, but please shine them at the ground. Step back in time to experience real prairie life.
