North Carolina African American Heritage Commission

 

The North Carolina Legislature established the North Carolina African American Heritage Commission in October 2008 to "assist the (state)Secretary of Cultural Resources in the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of African American history, arts, and culture."

Mission:

To preserve, protect, and promote North Carolina's African American history, arts, and culture for all people.
