Spend the day, February 24, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, at the Hampton Plantation to learn first hand the life of the enslaved people who lived there. This all day event will feature traditional story telling with lectures and discussion on the history of slavery, escape and emancipation in South Carolina. Visitors can also take specialized tours on the lives of the enslaved at Hampton, participate in indigo dye demonstrations and rice processing demonstrations.
This event will take place at the Hampton Plantation, 1950 Rutledge Rd, McClellanville, SC 29458
The cost is $15.00 per adult and $7.50 per child.
