The National Park System Advisory Board (NPSAB) met on August 15-16, 2023 to consider sixteen new nominations for National Historic Landmark (NHL) designation, six updated nominations, and three withdrawals of designation. The NPSAB recommended that the Secretary of the Interior proceed with all of these proposed NHL actions.

On December 13, 2023, the Secretary of the Interior announced designation of these sixteen new NHLs and approval of the six nomination updates and three withdrawals of designation.

The final versions of the nominations and nomination updates will be posted on the Selected Nominations page in early 2024.
