Solicitation for proposals for a new Concession Contract to provide lodging, food and beverage, retail, RV camping, and related services within Death Valley National Park

The National Park Service (NPS) has released a Prospectus soliciting proposals in response to a business opportunity to provide lodging, food and beverage, retail, RV camping, and related services within Death Valley National Park.The NPS issued the Prospectus beginning May 19, 2022, under the terms described in the Prospectus. The Director, pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 51, has determined the existing Concessioner is NOT a preferred Offeror for the Draft Contract to be awarded. The term of the Draft Contract will be for ten (10) years.

The NPS will provide further information and additional directions by return email message to the organization's identified primary contact.  The NPS is only accepting electronic proposal submissions in response to this Prospectus. Any proposal must be received electronically no later than 12:00 p.m. (PDT) on October 7, 2022, in the format outlined in the Proposal Instructions.

Site Visit

The NPS will lead a site visit on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Attendance is not required in order to submit a proposal; however, any party intending to attend the scheduled site visit must RSVP via email to Sue Eibeck (sue_eibeck@nps.gov), Concessions Management Specialist, no later than 12:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) June 1, 2022, to reserve a spot for the site visit. The email must provide the following information:

Name
Name of the organization you are representing
Primary contact for the organizationNames of the other site visit attendees for your organization

Intent to Submit a Proposal

Any interested party intending to submit a proposal must submit a "Notice of Intent to Submit a Proposal" as described in the Proposal Instructions, no later than 12:00 p.m. (PDT) on September 12, 2022. If you choose to retrieve a copy of the Prospectus from the NPS website, please notify Sue Eibeck by email at sue_eibeck@nps.gov, so you are placed on the mailing list to receive notifications of any future correspondence and modifications.
