"We are excited to host the two Civil War Kids Days at the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center this summer, stated Supervisory Park Ranger Ashley Berry. "The second event, scheduled for July 12, will build upon the things the kids discover in June. We have several hands-on activities planned that will encourage the children to reflect on why young men enlisted in the army and the training they received as they prepared for battle."
Children are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, and wear comfortable clothing for outside activities. There is no cost for participating in the Civil War Kids Day. Children participating in the activities must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is recommended by contacting Park Ranger Rachel Winters at 662-287-9273 or by email at e-mail us.
