National Park Week
National Park Week is a week long celebration of our National Parks. Throughout the week we will be hosting a variety of exciting activities which will help you to get closer to nature, learn more about our history, and explore Shenandoah. The Park entrance fee will be waived on Saturday, April 21 to help celebrate!

Throughout Shenandoah National Park. Beyond that, it will be celebrated throughout the entire National Park Service system!
Special events are free after paid entry to the park. The first day of National Park Week, Saturday, April 21, is a fee free day, so you won't have to worry about paying an entrance fee! Learn more about park entry fees and passes.
Schedule of EventsIn addition to the regularly scheduled programs, the following programs will be offered in honor of National Park Week. Please do not bring pets on ranger programs. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water on hikes.
Appalachian Trail Hike | Sunday, April 22 only | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Celebrate Earth Day by taking a short journey on the most famous long-distance hiking trail in the world! Meet at Milam Gap parking area (mile 52.4). 2.1-mile hike.
Stony Man Hike | Sunday, April 29 only | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Celebrate Park Rx Day and join a Park Ranger for a hike to the summit of Stony Man. Meet at Stony Man Trailhead (mile 41.7). 1.6-mile hike.
